The 3 POOLS at Disney’s Pop Century Resort (2025)
With bright colors, playful theming, and a lively atmosphere, our family loves splashing around in the various pools at Pop Century. All three are perfect for cooling off and soaking in the retro vibes.

Below, you will learn all about these uniquely themed pools, along with the dining options and other fun activities to enjoy around them.
The 3 Pools at Pop Century:
Pool #1: The Hippy Dippy Pool

The Hippy Dippy Pool is the LARGEST pool at Pop Century at 235,000 gallons! Because of its size and central location in the resort, we found it is the busiest and most popular of the three pools.
The pool is located in the 1960s section of Pop Century and is themed after this decade. On the sides of the buildings, you will see flower decorations everywhere, along with lots of giant people dancing. And if you were to look at the pool from above, you would see it is shaped like a giant flower! Check it out below:

The Hippy Dippy Pool is EASY to find! It is right behind Classic Hall, the resort’s main lobby, and by the 1960s buildings.
Along the edges of the swim area, you will find FOUR oversized giant flower showers that spray water into the pool. I’m sure your kids will love the fun feature (mine sure did).

Surrounding the pool are lots of lounge chairs for relaxation. Among the lounge chairs are tables with umbrellas that offer places to eat while being in the shade. Just be advised that on HOT days, the chairs and tables can get claimed quickly, so you may want to head to the pool early if you want one.

If you get hungry or thirsty at the Hippy Dippy Pool, there is an outside pool bar called Petals. It’s easy to find as it’s located next to the pool and is the ONLY bar at Pop Century.

Here you can find an array of beverages, including adult alcoholic drinks, to enjoy while sitting at the pool. They also offer a limited food menu, such as pretzels, chips, salads, and sandwiches.

If you have little kids, you will be happy to learn there is a small kiddie pool behind the Hippy Dippy Pool inside a separate fenced-in area!

The kiddie pool is fairly small and basic, but at least it allows very young children a place to have fun and get wet. They should have a good time splashing around in the small fountains! In addition, there is ample seating for adults surrounding the water.

If you want a less crowded pool with a more relaxed atmosphere, keep reading to learn more about the other two pools at Pop Century! 🙂
Pool #2: The Computer Pool

You will find the smaller Computer Pool at the far south end of Pop Century between the 1980s and 1990s buildings. As such, the pool and entire area are themed after these time periods.
As the pool’s name suggests, it is uniquely shaped and resembles a computer monitor. If you could view the pool from above, you would see a large square! In addition, you will find a life-sized spongy keyboard in front of the Computer Pool.

Regarding decorations, you will see a GIANT laptop sitting behind the pool area. Also, some of the buildings nearby look like stacks of floppy disks.

As you get near the pool, you will notice that there is a GIANT keyboard on the pool deck.

Surrounding the pool are lounge chairs and tables, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Computer Pool is smaller than the Hippy Dippy Pool. As a result, it is usually quieter and less crowded, especially since it’s also located at the far south end of Pop Century Resort. But on hot Florida days, this pool can still get pretty busy.
Pool #3: The Bowling Pool

You will find the Bowling Pool at the far north end of Pop Century Resort by the 1950s buildings.
As you probably guessed by the name, the pool and the entire area are themed after bowling! For example, you will find pin decorations located around the pool deck. In addition, the restroom building is designed to look like where you store your shoes at the bowling alley.

But my favorite part about this pool is if you look at it from above, it’s shaped like a bowling pin!

Even lines run down the pool deck to mimic the bowling alley. (I’m sorry that my finger is partially in the photo!)

Because of its smaller size and location at the far end of Pop Century Resort, the Bowling Pool is typically much quieter and less crowded than the Hippy Dippy Pool. But on hot days, you can still expect to find a crowd here. There are plenty of lounge chairs and shaded areas for you to sit and relax, but these will get claimed quickly on busy days.

Additional info about The Pools at Pop Century:
Operating hours:

All three pools at Pop Century are normally open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. But these hours tend to change depending on the time of year you visit. Just ask the front desk when you arrive to see the current schedule. The operating hours should also be posted on a sign near the pool entrance.
Lifeguards:

Yes, lifeguards are on duty at all three pools (Hippy Dippy, Computer, Bowling) when the pools are open. The operating hours for the pool are typically from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. But the hours are subject to change depending on the time of year, so check the schedule upon arrival.
Water slides, lazy rivers, and hot tubs:
Since Pop Century is a “Disney Value Resort,” you won’t find any water slides, lazy rivers, or hot tubs at any of the three pools. If these features are important, you must stay at a Moderate or Deluxe resort at Disney World.
Pool usage:
No matter which themed section of Pop Century you stay at, you can use any of the three pools. So, for example, if you are in a room in the 1990s section, you can swim in the Bowling Pool, and vice versa. In fact, many families pool-hop throughout the day!
Pool locations:
Here are the locations for each of the three pools.
- The Hippy Dippy Pool: Located in the center of Pop Century Resort and right behind Classic Hall.
- The Computer Pool: Located at the far end of Pop Century in the 1990s-themed section.
- The Bowling Pool: Located at the north end of Pop Century in the 1950s section.

Life jackets:

Complimentary life jackets are available at all three of the pools.
Pool towels:

Fresh and clean towels are available at all three pools. In addition, there are bins to throw your used towels into as you leave the pool area.
Activities near the pools:
Yes, at certain times of the day, Disney Cast Members come out to play games with the kids, like trivia, relays, and other pool games, that are free! You will want to look for an activity schedule posted near the entrance of the pools.

When we visited, you could pay to have airbrush tattoos, henna, hair wraps, etc done at the Hippy Dippy Pool.

There is also a ping-pong table near the Hippy Dippy Pool that is free to use.

Near the Computer Pool, there was a corn hole set that was available to use.

And at the Bowling Pool, there was a GIANT game of checkers.

Showers and changing rooms:
There are showers located inside the bathrooms at the Hippy Dippy Pool, the Computer Pool, and the Bowling Pool. And as you can see below, there are also lockers available to rent.
